Maria Varnals

I have been with Ark Vets since April 2019, originally as Head Receptionist, and took on the role of Practice Manager in February 2022.  I love working in the veterinary industry, it is varied and always interesting and rewarding. 

I have worked as a vet's receptionist for a big part of my working life, but also spent nearly 10 years as joint owner/manager of a children's nursery. So, I have totally ignored the old advice of never working with children or animals, and I couldn't be happier!

Ark has a fantastic team of staff, who are great to work with, and I am enjoying my new role immensely.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family, including our Rough Collie Kimber, Hedwig the budgie and Havoc the rabbit.
